Too young to cope with the lifestyle?

The Italian government is considering plans to ban models under the age of 16 from the catwalk because they are concerned that the children could be exploited before they are mature enough to cope.

At the start of London Fashion Week, Woman's Hour looks at the experience of girls in the modelling world in this country. How are they exposed to the lifestyle and how easy is it for them to deal with the pressures of job?

Martha is joined by Melissa Richardson, co-founder of Take 2 Model Management and Sarah Leon, head of new faces at Select to discuss the issues and the long term effects of a model's lifestyle.
