How do you deal with a bad hair day?
In the next of our series on the history of various fashion accessories, it comes as something of a relief to learn that bad hair days are nothing new.
As Anna McNamee learned when she went to meet Caroline Cox, a hair-historian and the author of Hair and Fashion and Edwina Ehrman, a curator at the Museum of London, such is the ingenuity of woman that she has long known how to keep even the most unruly of tresses in control.
