On their rise to major UK hip hop status
No one was more surprised by their success than eight young lads from Newport South Wales who, this year, secured a major recording contract. Goldie Lookin' Chain mix old songs with new, and sometimes controversial, lyrics. They've even got their local MP in on the act. From the concrete wastes of once drug infested Newport it's an unlikely tale.
