In 1984 Band Aid topped the charts with Do They Know It's Christmas? 20 years on and the single is again the Christmas number 1.
Back in 1984 there were only 4 women in the entire line-up. The 2004 roster has a much healthier number of female artists, but how far have women really come in popular music in the intervening years?
Jenni is joined by Radio One DJ, Mary Anne Hobbs and Alison Wenham, Chair of the Association of Independent Music.
