More than just a striking bloom

If you threw a few seeds down earlier in the year, the sunflowers will now be in bloom.  More than a just an imposing flower, they inspired artists such as Gaugin and Van Gogh.

Justine Hopkins, lecturer in art history, looks at what the sunflower represents.
