Why British men and women have fallen in love with the snip
One in five women in the UK relies on sterilisation to prevent pregnancy. This is double the European average.
But although it's a very effective contraceptive, sterilisation of men and women is not to be taken lightly. In fact, many men seek to reverse their vasectomies when seeking to start a second family. However, success is not guaranteed.
So should we be rethinking our approach to long-term contraception? Jenni talks to Consultant Community Gynaecologist, Diane Mansour and to Raymund Carroll, consultant urologist in Manchester.
