Finding out how babies learn

Babylab is an infant brain development research centre at Birkbeck University in London, an area of scientific research which is itself in its infancy. Parents take along their babies who are encouraged to perform simple tasks while they are monitored by scientists.

Melissa Viney joined mother Sian and her three-month-old son Sam at Babylab along with research assistant Leslie Tucker and research fellow Teresa Faroni.
