  Maids & Mistresses: 2 24 June 2004
Image: Lady Worsley painted by Sir Joshua Reynolds (1778)
An exhibition in celebration of the women who shaped some of Britain's great stately homes

250 years ago Lady Worsley of Harewood House went on the rampage with some of her friends in nearby Leeds, chasing boys and generally wrecking havoc.

Her story forms part of an exhibition, Maids and Mistresses which is being held at seven of the north's great houses throughout the summer.
