Has the role of care diminished as the nursing profession strives to raise its status?

There are concerns that the human relationship between nurse and patient is being squeezed out as nurses take on more and more medical responsibilities.  The issue is to be debated at the Royal College of Nursing's annual congress in May.

Jenni discusses the issues with May McCreadle, Senior Lecturer at the School of Health, Nursing and Midwifery and Stepanie Thomas from Unison.
