In the past 12 years, the number of women diagnosed with ectopic pregnancies has trebled. Despite better diagnosis and treatment, a small number of women each year die from complications that might have been avoided by earlier medical attention.
Tina Jones, director of the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust and Jenny Higham, consultant gynaecologist at St Mary's Hospital in London join Jenni to discuss why the numbers are rising and how early pregnancy services can be improved.
