It's the favoured tipple of women as diverse as Margaret Thatcher and Madonna; and when Greta Garbo spoke her first words on screen, it was to ask for a whiskey.
As more and more women are delving into the world of blends and single malts, why does whiskey still conjures up a masculine world of gentleman's clubs and saloon bars?
