New research from a leading American criminologist has identified stable relationships and families as a key factor in keeping ex-prisoners from returning to crime.
But is the expectation that a good woman will keep her man on the straight and narrow placing too great a burden on the woman? Are prisoners well enough prepared to resume relationships that have been left on hold for often years?
