 Dame Mary Gilmore was such an icon in her native Australia that her picture was chosen to grace its $10 notes. An ardent socialist campaigner, she was also a well-loved poet, becoming famous and feted towards the end of her life.
Anne Whitehead has chosen to write about the remarkable adventure Mary undertook whilst still in her youth - to go and find a utopian community in Paraguay.
She joins Jenni to tell how she retraced Mary's steps in order to find out whether the struggle to survive there influenced Mary's politics.
