Only nineteen pages survive of a book which Charlotte Brontë started writing 150 years ago.
These solitary two chapters start with the intriguing words "We all seek an ideal in life" and follow the story of a young woman whose school fees suddenly dry up and her wealthy father cannot be traced.
Clare Boylan joins Jenni to talk about why she decided to take on the daunting task of continuing and finishing the book. Emma Brown is published on 4 September by Little, Brown; ISBN: 0316725471
