In the third of our series about women who are fascinated by a particular period of history, we move on to the time of rationing and the jitterbug - the 40's era.
It's big band, big heels and utility frocks - to be found at vintage clothes fairs and worn to boogie the night away of a Saturday evening at the hop. Felicity Finch has been meeting women with a passion for the 40s, starting with Deborah Draper in her south London flat, which immediately transports any visitor back six decades.
