There have been a number of moving stories in recent months where people suffering from a terminal illness have gone to Switzerland where they've been helped to commit suicide.
A number of people have asked why isn't it possible to do that here. Tomorrow Lord Joffe's Patient: Assisted Dying Bill will have its second reading in the House of Lords.
But it has not been welcomed by some sectors of the medical profession, religious communities and those representing disabled people.
