Kelly MacDonald first achieved notoriety in 1996 as the schoolgirl seductress in Trainspotting. Since then, she's been in several films, most notably Robert Altman's Gosford Park.
She's now appearing in her first major television role. In State of Play, BBC1's ne Sunday night drama, Kelly plays Della Smith, a tough woman journalist in the peculiarly male world of Fleet Street and Whitehall.
Kelly joins Martha to talk about her latest role.
