After September 11th, attention focussed on Islamic religious schools and what they were teaching impressionable young Muslims, particularly boys.
In India there are thousands of madrassas - or mosque schools - most of which concentrate on giving a religious education to boys, and strictly segregate the sexes.
But in Rajasthan, one school is challenging the traditional view, and educating girls alongside boys up to the age of 18. Clare Jenkins went to Jaipur.
