Every year, young women in Swaziland gather for the Reed Ceremony. As they dance and collect reeds to honour the royal family, the king casts his eye over the women, sometimes selecting those he thinks may be suitable to be his bride.
But his choice this time has proved controversial. The mother of the young woman has taken the case to court, saying her daughter has been abducted and is missing out on her education. Woman's Hour examines the tensions between tradition and modern life that are rocking this tiny landlocked kingdom.
