We will be looking at the reputation of that most maligned of all musical instruments: the recorder.
A recent survey suggested that recorder lessons at school are so unpopular that they put children off the idea of music making for life. But what about those who do persevere beyond London's Burning and Frere Jacques.
Pamela Thorby, who is one of the country's leading recorder players and Jeanne Dolmetsch from the famous recorder making family join Jenni to discuss it's appeal.
