The average British man can expect to be seriously or chronically ill for 15 years of his life, and research shows that 4 out of 5 men delay seeing the doctor for their problems, even when they suspect something's wrong.
Next week (10 - 16 June) is the UK's first Men's Health Week and Tesco have brought out a leaflet aimed at women which enables them to check their male partners' health. But should a man's health be a woman's responsibility?
Martha talks to Dr Carol Cooper, GP and author of the Tesco's An Eye on Men's Health booklet, and to Jane De Ville-Almond, vice-president of the Men's Health Forum.
