Jeanette Winterson flashed to literary stardom with Oranges Are Not The Only Fruit.
This brave book told the fictionalised story of her own life as the adopted child of pentecostal parents who leaves home after having an affair with another woman at the age of 16.
Now she has written her first radio play - Text Message.
She talks to Jenni about drama, enlightenment and the discovery that life is always a cover version. Text Message will be broadcast on BBC Radio 3 on Saturday 24th November.
