A recent item on Woman's Hour looked at how doctors and midwives are divided over the benefits and safety of giving birth at home.
So when you have a baby should you put yourself into the hands of the professionals or should you make the decisions about where and how you want to give birth?
Is there enough support for women who do choose to give birth at home or are they routinely encouraged to go to hospital regardless of their wishes?
