This has been Stroke Awareness Week.
Over the summer, fifteen year old Rachel King was awarded a prestigious 'Life After Stroke' award. She was only six when she suffered hers.
This would have been a huge trauma for any family, but to the Kings it was a double blow.
Rachel's twin sister, Catherine had been born with cerebral palsy and cystic fibrosis and often needed hospital care. Her, mother Ann takes up the story. For more information please call the Radio 4 Actionline on 0800 044 044.
