Louise Farrenc Monday 8 April 2002
Louise Farrenc was a composer, pianist, teacher and scholar who has had a strong influence on European music in a variety of ways.

As a composer she was ambitious and original, and as a teacher she became very well respected in the 19th century musical establishment.
In the third of our new series about women composers, Henrietta Otley speaks to the musician Diana Ambache and to Dr Laura Macy, co-editor of the Grove Dictionary of Music.

Maria Hester Park
