On leading seven women from the Commonwealth to the South Pole
The scientist and adventurer, Felicity Aston recently returned from an expedition, where she successfully led seven women from the Commonwealth to the South Pole. They skied 900km in 38 days and arrived on 29 December 2009, some of them had never seen snow before. It was the largest ever women's team to get there entirely unsupported. Felicity has been invited to the special Commonwealth Day Service in Westminster Abbey on 8 March, which is also International Women’s Day. Felicity joins Jane to discuss their extraordinary achievement. Commonwealth Antarctic ExpeditionDisclaimer
