The politics of heels in the workplace
Heels may look suitable on the catwalk but are they suitable attire for the day to day work wear? The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists are concerned about the number of companies insisting that female staff wear high heels as part of their dress code. They are putting forward a motion at the TUC conference later this month calling on companies to drop what they see as inappropriate foot codes. Lorraine Jones of the Society of the Chiropodists and Podiatrists, the journalist Hannah Betts, and style and image consultant Ceril Campbell join Jenni to discuss the politics of high heels in the workplace.Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists TUC Listener FeedbackDisclaimer
