 On her new play, Kursk
It took playwright Bryony Lavery nearly three decades to become an overnight sensation. She’s been writing for the theatre since the mid 1970s but it wasn’t until 1997 that she first achieved widespread critical acclaim when she wrote about the misery of the 1991 riots in her play Goliath. She joins Jane to talk about her work and her new play, Kursk, in which she places the audience alongside the actors on the set of a Cold War nuclear submarine.
