Le Divorce is the latest contemporary film from the Merchant Ivory team. The film stars Kate Hudson & Naomi Watts as Californian blonde sisters in Paris and revolves around a divorce and a family heirloom painting. Jason Solomons reviews.

1000 YEARS OF POP MUSIC
Asked by Playboy Magazine in 1999 to submit a list of the ten greatest songs of the Millennium, musician Richard Thompson decided to take the request literally. Beginning around 1068, his list includes amongst others, Summer is Iucmen Gilbert and Sullivan's There is Beauty and Abba's Money. Front Row talks to Richard Thompson about his CD, 1000 Years of Pop Music.

KHALED HOSSEINI
Francine interviews Afghan doctor Khaled Hosseini who received political asylum in 1980. He has recently published his first novel, The Kite Runner. Set in Afghanistan, it tells the story of two young boys and how their friendship and lives are irrevocably changed by an act of betrayal.
