Before
long that commitment grew into a four year project. During that
time he found himself involved in making film history by acting
the part of a CGI character.
Andy's
character Gollum pushed back the boundaries and with his human feel
Gollum became more than a simple celebration of the technology,
he became a tangible, living, breathing entity.
You
can listen to Andy talking to BBC Oxford's Tim Bearder about the
incredible success of the films. They explore the techniques Peter
Jackson and the team used to bring Gollum to life and he even got
a quick chat with the creature himself.
