Big Night Out is the brainchild of BBC Radio Nottingham's Breakfast Show presenter Andy Whittaker.

He wants to tackle the image some people have of the city centre - as a place only for younger people who want to drink.

That image is not Andy's experience of going out in Nottingham, "there's so much more to the city than that", he says. 

It follows the success of the last November's 1 Big Night Out when hundreds of people took advantage of the special offers available and came into the city at night, making the most of the wide range of entertainment on offer. 

Reckless Invention

This time there'll be extra emphasis on families enjoying the "summer in the city".

Bigger and better

In November, the city centre was buzzing with people enjoying good food and great entertainment, some of them hadn't been into Nottingham at night for years.

The next Big Night Out promises to be even bigger and once again there'll be offers and discounts on food and entertainment.

Plus, they'll also be entertainment on the streets of the city centre with Bob Jobbins, Reckless Invention and band Los Albertos.
