Read on to discover whether she thought Sinbad is riding on the crest of a wave or whether his performance sinks without a trace... I really enjoyed the panto. It made me laugh loads and and there were lots of funny moments, like when the coconuts fell out of the tree on to the dame's head when she told fibs. I loved the dresses, my favourite was Donna Kebab's because it looked so beautiful and nice. I loved the scenery too, it was all excellent. ![]() Warlock: David Leonard (Pic: Karl Andre) I really liked the flying space ship and the rocking boat. It was spectacular when the dame was on the rocking boat and she got soaked whenever she said "Busy bee, busy bee, what have you in store for me?" I liked all the songs, especially when the Spice Girls (not the real ones) came on and sang 'Wannabe'! Sinbad was superb, I loved him. He was a real hero, finding the book of spells and saving the day. He even put a spell on the baddie so he turned out to be good. The fireworks were a surprise - and so was the dragon! Overall I thought the panto was spectacular and I really enjoyed it. Funniest moment? When the dame was late and the little girl (the dame's understudy) came on instead! Best actor?Sinbad and the villain, Jack Warlock. Funniest actor? The dame - Nelli Fatardo. Silliest actor?Binbag, who looked a bit like Popeye. Best costume?Sinbad and Donna Kebab's. Best song?Jack Warlock's rap and the Spice Girls (not the real ones). Best joke? The bit when the Nelli (the dame) and Binbag spit water at each other. Worst joke?Binbag falling down stairs. (Nellie kept telling him it wasn't getting a laugh). Best wig?Jack Warlock's dreadlocks. Biggest surprise?I can't tell you what it is because it will spoil the surprise for you if you are going to the panto. I really liked it when the flying space ship appeared and when the octopus surprised Nelli and Binbag. Best dance? When the shipwrecked slaves danced for the Queen. Most impressive scenery? When the flying space ship landed. Scariest moment? When the big mummy octopus appeared in the window behind the ship and when the villain, Jack Warlock, sank his own ship. How scary is the villain?Very scary (9 out of 10), but he did have a funny walk! Is there a happy ending?Yes! This review is by Mary Holmes, age six. If you go to the panto, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! last updated: 28/12/2007 at 16:30 SEE ALSOYou are in: North Yorkshire > Entertainment > The Arts > Theatre > Review: Sinbad the Sailor |
