Red Nose Day 2007

Jeremy & Jules in 'man-kini'

Bare faced cheek!

BBC Radio York's Jeremy Buxton has got hold of two 'man-kini's' as worn by Sacha Baron Cohen in the film Borat. Jeremy and BBC Radio York's Jules Bellerby are threatening to wear them on Red Nose Day if North Yorkshire raises enough cash!

During the past few days, BBC Radio York's Early Breakfast presenter Jules Bellerby and Breakfast presenter Jeremy Buxton have been daring each other to wear a "man-kini", after seeing that a national newspaper was giving them away free to celebrate the release of the DVD Borat.

Don't pull it too tight Jeremy!

In the film, actor Sacha Baron Cohen puts on the outrageous swimming costume during his trip around the USA, and it is one of the most enduring images!

Jeremy has managed to get hold of two of the costumes, and the pair have decided that they will only wear them in public IF they can raise more than £2000 for Comic Relief.

As our pictures show, they proved to be a tight squeeze for our tall, ample presenters…but they did still have their clothes on!

If there is more than £2000 pledged on this website, Jeremy and Jules will strip down to their Borat costumes during the Breakfast show on the morning of Comic Relief - Friday March 16th from 7 - 10am. We'll have full photographic evidence of the event on this website.

Firstly, donate some cash to Comic Relief by clicking on this link

How am I supposed to get this on?

Then fill in the form below to tell us what you've donated, and add your messages of encouragement to the boys!

Why donate? Well, apart from seeing our two hunks in their near-naked state of polyester and spandex… Think of all of the thousands of poor and disadvantaged people across the UK and Africa who are getting the help they need to turn their lives around. Whether it's a woman living down your street in North Yorkshire who is being abused by her partner or a child struggling to survive on the streets of Africa, your cash is helping to improve, and in some cases save, lives.
