On Your
Place and Mine we take pride in our sense of humour and being
able to laugh at ourselves. While we appreciate the serious side
of life in Northern Ireland, we always like to make you smile with
stories of the weird, wonderful and quirky.
In
the past we have talked to, or about, talking parrots, world whistling
champions, totem pole designers, female undertakers, retiring barbers,
clan gatherings, remote control church organs, skittle competitions,
storytelling festivals, new arts centres and a mobile solar washeteria!!!

Your
Place and Mine is unique in that our team of seven reporters
come from different backgrounds and professions but are united
in the quest to bring listeners stories of local people and
local concerns.
Recently
Michael and his team interviewed some of the staff from the
North East Institute (formerly the Ballymena Municipal Technical
College) on its centenary. These are some of the photos that
were snapped on their visit.

All
twelve reporters live or work in the towns that they report from
- Ballymena, Coleraine, Dungannon, Enniskillen, Magherafelt, Newry
and Omagh - and have become known as the BBC representative there.
