You've got the chance to to help raise money and join in on Friday, 13 March, 2009, in Norwich. To be honest, it's not something that occurs routinely at concerts given by the BBC Philharmonic. But, for Comic Relief 2009, the orchestra has recorded a one-off whoopee cushion concert with a selection of popular classics including the Blue Danube, the Hornpipe and the 1812. It's all to raise awareness for this year's 'Do Something Funny for Money' appeal for which you can buy a Comic Relief whoopee cushion along with your red nose. If you've got 45 minutes to spare on Friday, 13 March, 2009, join in on the Big Screen in Norwich with East Anglia's first whoopee cushion orchestra at 12pm. You could even spot yourself performing along! Help playing audio/video ![]() The BBC Big Screen in Norwich Whoopee cushions at Chapelfield PlainTo raise awareness about Comic Relief in 2009, whoopee cushion orchestras will be taking place on many of the Big Screen sites across the UK. East Anglia's Big Screen, installed as part of London 2012, is situated on Chapelfield Plain in Norwich and will host the event for Comic Relief. The concert will be broadcast on the Big Screen and you'll also be able to see yourself on screen during the event as our cameras will be pointing at the crowd. Congregation of cushionsIf you're itching to let rip with a B-flatulence alongside the bassoons, the whoopee cushion concert will be shown on Norwich's Big Screen at lunchtime on Red Nose Day (13 March 2009). You're invited to congregate at the Big Screen from 12pm on Friday, 13 March, 2009, to take part. Just bring along a whoopee cushion and make sure you tell your friends and family to come along too. You can wear whatever you want - black tie, fancy dress, or even your ordinary clothes.
