| Nature
watching: | Bird watching - many small and large
hides and lookout towers with bird books. Barnacle Geese events. Swan feeding
twice daily. Good views over Solway estuary from tower observatories.
The
Barnacle Geese start arriving at Caerlaverock in late September/October and by
December numbers are reaching their peak. Look for them on the surrounding films
during the daytime.
Badger watching - small cost. The Stars and

areas suitable for visitors with disabilities - some muddy areas. Guide dogs welcome.

nine miles south east of Dumfries. Limited bus service from Dumfries to Caerlaverock.
