The reserve covers over 6 miles of coastline
between Grainthorpe Haven and Saltfleet on the Lincolnshire coast. Access from
the main A1031 coastal road. Parking at Stonebridge, Howden's Pullover, Sea Lane,
Saltfleet and Saltfleet Haven There are parking facilities at Stonebridge,
Howden's Pullover, Sea Lane, Saltfleet and Saltfleet Haven. Public access
is also possible at Merrikin's Pullover , but there are no parking facilities.
Access at Howden's Pullover, Saltfleet Haven and Merrikin's Pullover is down unmetalled
roads.
For the breeding colony of Grey Seals,
visitors can use the small, free car park at Stonebridge. A local farmer usually
opens a field for parking for which there will be a charge.
Weekdays
are the best time to visit - the narrow lanes and car park get very congested
at weekends. Organised parties can be arranged via the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust's
Coastal Warden. |
