| Hello.
I was out walking yesterday and decided to take a slight detour into a wooded
area where I found a circle constructed out of wooden logs/branches. I took a
few pictures of it because I thought it was cool, but when I got home I noticed
something weird on the pictures at the centre of the circle that might be of interest
to you! | |

| Hello
there. Just come across this web site and was reading a sighting from Sue regarding
the homestead in bracebridge. A number of years ago my wife and I became very
good friends with a couple completing a pub training course. We changed pub chains
but still kept in contact as much as we could. Some month past when they announced
that they had been allocated a pub to run, this being the homestead in bracebridge
all started o.k. The man of the couple being of hardened background did not entertain
the stories and passed down sightings. His wife was a bit more intrigued with
the thought of the happenings. On our occasional visits mainly after hours I personally
have experienced all the beer taps in the seller turning themselves on, you would
turn them off again leave the seller and on return they would be back on again.
Whist in the office upstairs a sound of a table being dragged across the floor
in the next room could be heard. On investigation no table or heavy objects would
be present in the room. A very loud banging noise at the top of the staircase
could be heard (a little investigation by them found that one of the inmates had
hung himself there) the banging to be thought the noise of feet on the banister.
They put up with the goings on for a number of months when one night the woman
awoke not about to move glanced to the corner of the room to see a dark figure.
Sensing another figure to her side saw a lady dressed in white stroking her hand
reassuring her that she would not be harmed. They called it a day at that point
and soon got another pub to run some way away. All involved with that pub at the
time had seen something one time or another. Hope this puts some light on the
matter. | |

| Last
night (30th May 2005) my friend and I were driving down Thurlby Fen Lincolnshire
at about 23:30. I saw a bright orange light in the sky and said to my friend,
Why is that street light there?, as there are no lights down the fen!!
We pulled the car up and my friend said That cant be a street light!!
The orange light seemed to be hovering up and down. Then all of a sudden the light
just vanished. It did not fly off or anything it was just as though someone turned
the light off and it faded out. We sat for about ten minutes and the light appeared
again out of nowhere, but once again it hovered and then faded out. It was a very
still and quiet night and there was no sound at all. There were no sounds like
an aeroplane engine or anything like that, it was eerily quiet. I normally dont
believe in ufos or paranormal things but what my friend and I saw is totally
unexplainable! | |

| Firstly
I'd like to say that until I experienced these events I was a solid non-beliver...but
that all changed. Also
the user who posted under the name Soozy may be interested in this as I have
also experienced strange goings on at the 5 gates tower. Anyone
who lives in GRANTHAM may know where I'm talking about, The Prairy, you go up
past Mc Donalds, Past Aldi's, Past the trailer camp until you get to the railway
bridge, go past the sign that says GNER - NO TRESPASSING up into the field and
from there on you walk. This is basically a few acres of fields forestry and hills
and I dont know how or why but its haunted. The first time we realised this was
when we walked up there one summers day, we walked for about 3 hours until we
came to a wooded area with a clearing, in this clearing there were 3 piles of
rocks about 5 ft long, slightly resembling old fashioned graves, we thought
nothing of it. Until one of our party started gasping for air. He fell over and
got back up, his face was a purple colour sweat dripped off his forehead,
his eyes bulged - a huge red handprint sat firmly on his neck. After about 30
seconds Steve was released by whatever had him but the distinct large handprint
remained for an hour or so. Needless to say, we ran. Countless times we've
been back there, we've experienced so much! I've
heard rumors of a plane crash in the area where a man and 2 children died, also
I've heard that there was a tank factory and a bunker complex there which got
bombed in WW1 or WW2 and loads of people were killed.

About 8yrs ago me and a friend went to Coleby Grange a disused World War Two conning
tower we had seen it many times on our way to Lincoln so I suggested that we go
and have a look round. It was a hot summers afternoon but it was colder than the
grave in that control tower. One room was as cold as a fridge, I said to my friend
I dont think we are alone in this control tower. As I came upon the steps leading
upstairs the hairs on the back of our necks started to rise. I put a ten pence
piece on the stairs and went to the top of the tower but when we got to the top
of the tower it sounded like someone was walking up the metal stairs. When I looked
down there was no one there. We decided to leave very quickly. The ten pence piece
was in the doorway as we walked out!

I used to live on Royal Oak Lane in Washingbourogh and I am absolutly sure that
my house was haunted. It is a 200 year old cottage. I would not go in the back
left hand room upstairs as I found it really creepy. I had to swop rooms with
my brother. My mum had a baby (my brother) and he was crying. My dad went to get
some milk and my mum tried to get up and see to him. Somthing was holding me down
and I was scared. The local vicar came and he said he could feel a presence. The
vicar told the presence to pass on to the after life and we were never bothered
again??!! | |

Three weeks ago my husband and I were travelling from Boston to Gosberton after
a night out - it was about half past midnight - as we approached our home in Gosberton
we saw a large white ball of light travelling very fast vertically through the
sky - it only lasted about 1 minute and disappeared behind our house. We tried
to explain it to ourselves - a fighter jet, possibly or a shooting star, but it
was too fast and too large for either a jet or a star, and there was no noise
accompanying it. Did anyone else see this?

My story is this, some years ago I had been out with a friend to the Monks Arms
pub (Caenby corner), my friend left early leaving me to try and scrounge a lift
home. No lift was forthcoming so I decide to walk, it was a nice summers evening
and I was enjoying the walk even if it was quite a trek back to my home at the
village of Blyborough. All went well and by the time I got to Willoughton Top
I had given up trying to thumb a lift and walked the last half mile. Just
as the road rises at Blyborough Top I saw some one sitting against a tree smoking
a cigarette, I was a bit startled and called out, "Morning!" - no response,
he just sat there smoking his fag, so I decide to approach him. Looking straight
at him I asked him if he was all right. Still no response. By now I was feeling
a little bit agitated, so I just said, "Bye then!" and gave him a friendly
tap on his boot. To
my horror my shoe went straight through his leg, at this point I started to run.
As I turned down Blyborough hill I stopped running as my house was only a few
yards away, I was out of breath, very very scared and stone cold. As I got to
the drive way of my house I turned to look back up the hill from where I came.
Imagine my horror as coming down the hill was this figure - but only his head
and body.I ran in to the house screaming like a banshee. I have never been so
scared in all my life. | |

| This
evening we went to The Homestead, Bracebridge Heath for dinner, it was 1700 hours.
We sat in the non-smoking section, and were the only customers. My Grandson, aged
4 years 10 months, out of the blue mentioned a man watching him. We asked where
this man was, my Grandson pointed to this glass/wooden partition approximately
2 metres away. My Grandson covered his eyes with his hand and occasionally peeked
through his fingers. He was fidgetty and asked to move. We moved to the front
of the building, in the hope that he would look out of the window and watch the
car lights. He continued to look behind him and said the man was still there.
We
ate our meal, my Grandson did not eat his, for twenty minutes he kept asking if
we could go. He was quiet but very fidgetty. I said I would go over to the man
and ask if he would leave, but my Grandson would have to tell me where the man
was. I walked over, stopped when I was told to. I extended my arm out and moved
it around, at this point it was above my head extended outwards. My Grandson said
that I was touching the man's shoes. Apparently
a member of staff mentioned that other customers have reported seeing things.
When we left, (my Grandson is in a wheelchair), we wheeled the chair past where
he could see the man, he turned and looked at where he said the man was. We
mentioned this to a couple of staff as my Grandson was agitated for the duration
of our visit. On the way home, he mentioned string, but thicker and hanging. I
have no doubt that my Grandson saw something. His vocabulary is not as advanced
as other children of his age as he has Cerebral Palsy, his disability affecting
his mobility more than anything. He has never, ever said he has seen anything
before and a person not be in front of him. Have
you heard of any other sightings at The Homestead, Bracebridge Heath. I am aware
that it is on the old St John's Hospital site, and possibly during the 60's or
70's housed young people. Do you know of any previous history? I
would be interested to hear whether others have reported strange happenings at
The Homestead. | | Sue |

work in one of the old Lincoln City schools est 1836..... The present building
is partly built on an old grave yard, so you can imagine we have many strange
happenings, doors close on their own, lights come on and go off. One evening it
was like a disco. It's even been known for the photo coppier to start on its own.
The most disturbing thing l came accross was when a pile of books moved in the
library, not a huge amount but one minute they were on the shelf the next they
were on the floor in a door way as though l wasnt to go in. l've worked at the
school for 10 years and witnessed quiet a few things, but l've only seen about
three images, a young girl dressed in brown with long hair holding either an apple
or a ball. The other has been a gentleman, l call him William. l think he's the
culprit for the happenings, it did disturb me at first, but you get used to it
after a while, although it does sometimes make you jump. | | Peter |
Myself
and a friend were walking back towards Holton le Clay after the Tetney Village
bonfire on 6 November this year. We took the old road between the villages, it
was round 10:30 and it was a clear night. We were halfway between Holton le Clay
and Tetney when out of nowhere I saw a small man to our right walking on the other
side of the road towards us. He was a grey white colour almost opaque, a car drove
past and he faded after a few seconds of being in the light. We both saw him could
find no logical explanation.
Has anyone else seen anything while travelling
along this stretch of road?

| | Strange
lights at Thornton Abbey |
accidentally came across your web page and the article on Thornton Abbey.
After seeing Chris' picture,
I had to send you this, which was taken in September 2004.
Although it
was taken in the same room and from roughly the same position, there is no other
similarity. I do not know Chris, and therefore the cameras which took the photographs
are different. I took many other photographs that day, but not achieved anything
similar.
Being "curios" in such phenomena, I have been on previous
investigations and have had some interesting results. | | Mik |
Hi
i wanted to tell you about a strange experience that my wife and I experienced
on the way home from Lincoln to Bourne. We had just been the the lincoln cinema,
it was around midnight. We were chatting and laughing and talking. We were following
another car, around 2 seconds behind them. As we passed through a number of
small viliages we had passed sleaford and was in the middle of sleaford and bourne,
there were no houses or villages near by, it was really issolated. In the
headlights of the car infront of us both my wife and I spotted a figure on the
far side of the road walking towards us. He got our attention becasue it was so
dark and there was no sign of life or civilation in the direction in which he
was heading. Also his clothes were very strange, he had on a shirt with a a long
three quarter leather waiste coat on, he had a full beared, and my wife said a
hat. As the others cars headlight were passing him, he seamed to take a large
step or stumble in to the centre of the road. I slammed on the brakes at the same
moment my wife called stop! As we passed where the figure should have been, i
expected him to be hitting my car or very near. But he was right back to the side
of the road again...no one could move that fast!!! Both of us were left shocked
and our hearts were beating so fast, and we felt chilled. Then when we looked
up we noticed that the car infront of us never broke once. This surprised me.
We were outside Rippinggale or one of the small villages near it. Has anybody
else seen anything on this strech of road. | | Jason
