Hallo, Pamela, I'm Carey, one of the Writing Buddies here on the WW2 site.
Thank you for taking the time to post.
Perhaps if you could tell us your mum's name and your stepsisters' names, and perhaps more specifics about where you will living and when this raid occurred, it would be helpful to other contributors or researcher looking at the site to help make contact with you.
Can you tell us anything about your family during this time? As you lost your mum in the raid, who looked after you?
Please do not hesitate to contribute any further information!
cheers,
Carey

Hallo! Lovely to hear from you.
I did read your other piece -- just astonishing. It must have been very difficult for you to learn about your mum, and your own circs.
If you would like to, of course we would encourage you to write in more detail, perhaps with names, as it may encourage others to write, and also for those who are reading the stories on the site to gain an insight on the War, to understand that it wasn't all adventures...there was much tragedy from the highest to the lowest. You see, it is well documented locally, but we have so many visitors to the site who are scattered throughout the world, and may not be able to see the original newspaper archives, etc.
I do understand that you may not wish to go into more detail, as it is a very sensitive and painful topic. What you have written stands as a stark reminder on its own, and we do thank you for writing about it, to help the archive here to present a full picture of all aspects and effects of the War.
Do take care,
best,
Carey
