Tipu's Summer Palace, Daria Daulat Bagh, is situated outside the fort at Srirangapatna. Hyder Ali began building the palace in 1778. His son, Tipu, completed the work in 1784.
The palace is now a museum, housing elaborate murals of battle scenes and the Tipu Sultan clan. On the eastern walls are court scenes, including the Chittur Queen, Mohamed Ali and Balaji with his queen.
