Track Record: A graduate of Bristol University, Smith made a couple of shorts in the late 90s before writing three episodes of EastEnders. He made his directorial debut in 2005 with London Underground horror movie Creep, starring Franka Potente.
Go Figure: Three disused Underground stations were used during the production of Creep.
UK OK? Creep was a co-production between the UK and Germany, and Smith is keen to try his hand in Hollywood if and when the opportunity arises.
