Neil Jordan has had an eventful career. He burst onto the scene in the early 80s with acclaimed low budget pics Angel, The Company Of Wolves and Mona Lisa, but a Hollywood foray (High Spirits, We're No Angels) proved less successful. The 1992 thriller The Crying Game and 1996 biopic Michael Collins gave him the biggest hits of his career, and now he's returned to the subject of the Troubles in Northern Ireland for the typically idiosyncratic Breakfast On Pluto, an adaptation of the Patrick McCabe novel.
Breakfast On Pluto is released in UK cinemas on Friday 13th January 2006.
