"Brash, crass, bloody and loud, it's shameful just how enjoyable Bad Boys II is", and it's shameful how uninspired the two-disc DVD release is. The one area we can't fault is its presentation. Just as Smith and Lawrence take down evil scum, the bad boy 5.1 sound mix on the DVD is likely to decimate your sound setup in a blaze of sonic fury.

Bad Extras, Bad Extras
The long movie gets an entire disc to itself, leaving the second to fill, or not, as the case may be, with extras. There are two main featurettes: one on stunts and the other on visual effects. The highlight is easily Martin Lawrence damaging a very expensive Ferrari, which the stunt team have managed to carefully preserve throughout the whole production until he gets his mitts on it.
Whatcha Gonne Do?
Well, you're not likely to be watching the rest of what's on offer more than once. A set of mini-featurettes on the production and action sequence breakdowns with no multi-angle comparison are yours to ignore. There are seven deleted scenes but there's nothing fans are going to be desperate to see.
