While Jack Nicholson is undoubtedly the unrestrained madness that drives the fun of Anger Management, we reckoned that, "Adam Sandler's soft-centred charm is the key in bringing warmth to this otherwise wicked comedy." Sandler also turns out to supply the charm factor on a DVD that fans of the movie must see.

Audio Therapy
Director Peter Segal joins Adam Sandler for an audio commentary that's light on facts but is nonetheless enjoyable to listen to. Sandler applies an easy-going charm to the proceedings, recalling silly anecdotes and discussing what it was like to work opposite Jack Nicholson. Hardly revelatory but it's easily better than the 'making of' featurette or the kiss-ass My Buddy Jack featurette, where cast and crew get to reminisce about breathing the same air as the devil eye-browed one.
Shock Therapy
So why must you not miss this DVD? The pay off begins with a five-minute blooper reel that reveals the improvisational nature of the shoot that contributed to the great rapport between Nicholson and Sandler. After that warm-up, indulge in the best deleted scenes put on a comedy DVD since the brilliant extra material on the Bridget Jones disc. Watch as Sandler tries not to explode at the type of retail service we all hate; Nicholson tackling a burly man with traffic issues; and John McEnroe trying to deal with his rage problems. You rarely get deleted scenes that are of the same standard as the movie they were culled from. Nor do they tend to be so enjoyable as these.
