Fans will disagree with our assertion that street car racing flick 2 Fast 2 Furious suffers from execution that "is decidedly Reliant Robin". In that case this DVD release is a solid enough vehicle for you to enjoy, but boy the extra features are a load of cheap tat.

Nasty Veneer
Tacky menu designs guide you through an uninspiring selection of extra features. The worst of these are found by selecting a driver: Roman, Suki or Devon. In these sub menus you'll find featurettes lasting no more than a couple of minutes on the actor behind the character, the car they drive, and the driving training they went through. Nothing wrong with the idea but the presentation is lacklustre and the footage deadly dull.
2 Boring 2 Dull
Sexy ladies, fast cars built on a Hollywood budget, and no shortage of special fx trickery don't seem to be enough to inspire red hot extra features here. Director John Singleton gives us a competent enough commentary on how he shot the film, but from his delivery you'd think he'd been shooting a movie about funeral homes. Topped off with a cheesy 'making of' featurette, a poorly directed piece on the stunts of the movie, and on Ludacris shooting his music video, and we've got a jackhammer of boredom here. Add reconditioned duff like The Road 2 Fast 2 Furious already shown on the Tricked out DVD edition of The Fast And The Furious and you've got the DVD equivalent of a Lada with go faster stripes.
