It looks like Bob De Niro took his $20m fee for mugging in "Analyze That" and ran off because, much like the "Showtime" DVD, he's not hung around to talk about his pride in the project.
TECHNICAL FEATURES
Picture Clear and colour-rich, this image transfer easily stands up to maximum analysis.
Sound The 5.1 sound mix is warm and speaker enveloping, with plenty of surround detail, especially during the prison song and dance routine.
SPECIAL FEATURES
Audio Commentary Harold Ramis' perfunctory commentary is only of interest for his description of how certain scenes were shot, but overall it's too dull to listen to for any length of time. Ramis does reveal that Joe Viterelli, who plays Jelly, was a neighbour of Sean Penn's family for many years, and it was Sean who gave him his first part in "State of Grace".
Documentary It's a case of big words for small things here as this is really no more than a feeble featurette that describes in tedious detail what happens in the film. Blow by blow, any element of surprise is efficiently removed, with producer Paula Weinstein promising that we should "have a really good laugh" when we see the movie. Well, not now that you've given everything away, Paula!
Trailers Aren't trailers meant to make you want to see the movie?
