Clint Eastwood steps back into thriller territory with "Blood Work", which comes to a DVD that just doesn't have enough Clint. He dominates the film for sure, but there's not much of him in the extra features. Warner Bros should know by now that if anyone gives a cracking interview it's Clint, with his mix of self-deprecating humour and carefully considered answers.

Picture Sharp as a razor, there's no faulting this picture transfer.

Sound The 5.1 sound mix is certainly atmospheric, which helps add some much-needed tension to some scenes.

Making "Blood Work" Clint admits that he finds it "difficult to know why you do any project at any time", but after buying the rights to the original book, felt that "Blood Work" could give a different slant to the detective genre - a genre he's no stranger to.

We get to see Clint at work on both sides of the fence: directing and acting in this 18-minute featurette. He also talks a little about how it is sometimes hard to be able to entirely separate the two disciplines.

Interview in Spanish Wanda De Jesus and Paul Rodriguez are interviewed in Spanish, in a 14-minute chat that's mostly about the plot and characters they play in the movie. Clint also turns up, but apart from trying the odd Spanish phrase, he sticks to English. In all, this is quite a strange exercise and unlikely to appeal to many (non-Spanish!) people.
