Lacking the wit and indeed the scares of the original, "Alligator II" is what you might call a luxury extra feature, which comes on the second disc of the "Alligator" special edition DVD release.
TECHNICAL FEATURES
Picture Detail is good, even in the dark, dank sewer moments.
Sound As with the first film, you get the luxury of either Dolby or DTS mixes. The difference is that the 5.1 is far more aggressive in bass and superior in stereo separation than for the original movie on disc one.
This is understandable as the sequel was recorded in stereo originally, but the attention to detail for this DVD release is high, boasting rear stereo separation that adds some much-needed creepy tension to the film.
SPECIAL FEATURES
You'll find a commentary, trailers, and well-written film notes on disc one.
