Want epic? Try "Lagaan" for size. It's so mighty it comes split between two DVDs, which although good in quality, sorely lack anything in the way of special features.

TECHNICAL FEATURES

Picture For such a new film, there are a surprising number of minor print flaws, but not to the point of affecting your enjoyment. Otherwise the picture is rich in colour and detail.

Sound The 5.1 sound mix offers solid bass support for the music score.

SPECIAL FEATURES

Scene Unseen On disc one you'll find 17 minutes of deleted scenes. The problem with them is that the only available subtitles are Dutch, so many of you may be left none the wiser as to what's going on.

Additional Extra Features Also on the DVD are trailers (although none for "Lagaan"), and cast and crew filmographies. Needless to say, we're very disappointed with the extra features, but in terms of presentation of the film the DVDs are technically sound.
