It certainly didn't sparkle at the box office, but Mariah Carey fans will perhaps want to take a peek at her debut film, "Glitter", now that it's on DVD.
TECHNICAL FEATURES
Picture Every eye-popping frame of the movie is transferred onto disc with the usual quality standards that we've come to expect from Columbia TriStar.
Sound Fans of Mariah's vocal range will enjoy getting to hear her songs with the added atmosphere the 5.1 mix provides, especially when backed with the solid subwoofer beat.
SPECIAL FEATURES
Audio Commentary Or perhaps better entitled "permanent mutter track"? Director Vondie Curtis-Hall needs to either sit a little closer to the mike, or raise his voice a bit, because it's hard to make out what he's saying half the time. What's worse is you find your concentration drifting so that any pertinent points he has to make get lost in the overall drone. One comment we were startled awake with was that Max Beesley "is a wonderful actor". We'll be forwarding that comment on to the 3am girls at The Mirror newspaper.
Additional Extra Features Also on the disc are two Mariah Carey music videos, and a trailer for the film.
Region: 2
Chapters: 28
Ratio: 2.35:1 (anamorphic)

Technical Features: Scene selection, animated menus, and English captions for the hearing impaired.
